Logo GuidelinesĀ
Positioning
Grey stripped area indicates Safe Zone. Other graphical and visual elements can be safely positioned up outside this space. Blue indicates Clear Space. The blue area must be kept free of all other graphical and visual elements. The minimal space must be 30% of the full logo width (x) on either side and 20% above and below it.
History and Ownership
The Street Epistemology logo was created in 2017 through a community-driven design contest led by the Facebook Study group. Dr. Prateek Lala of Lalaland Graphics finalized the logo after community input. Initially purchased by Anthony Magnabosco, ownership was transferred to the non-profit Street Epistemology International (SEI) in 2019. The logo is now publicly available for SE-related use, preferably without alterations.
Design and Updates
In March 2023, Bjorn Soesbergen rebuilt the logo to enhance its structural efficiency. High-quality variations and file types were made available, ensuring versatile use across platforms. The logo incorporates the Montserrat Heavy font and adheres to a specific color scheme: black for the text and outlines, white for inner chat bubbles, and mustard yellow for the light bulb interior.
Usage Guidelines
There are four approved versions of the SE logo: Compact, Wide, Compact Dark Background, and Wide Dark Background. Each version requires appropriate spacing and maintains consistent color rules. For custom uses outside these specifications, contact SEI at [email protected] for review and approval. SEI reserves the right to revoke usage rights at any time.

If the logo is used on a white or light background, the sans white border logo is to be used. There might be situations where this variant works better.
